pretty much have decided on 6 keepers so far but torn on last 2,any help is appreciated and of course will help in return
I agree with the keepers you have now. To the list I'd add Stephen Drew. He was terribly unlucky last year and certainly has the pedigree. Don't expect a miracle, but .280 15 homers and some steals is certainly within reach and at a thin position the upside for better is worth the spot. Next, I'd choose Adam Dunn. Are you a standard 5 X 5? If you count OPS, SLG, or OBP, in addition to the standard stats, Dunn is a no-brainer. If not, I think he's still the guy as reliability should be a big factor in keepers. Yes, his BA will regress, and ye it will suck, but in a h2h format it's easier to deal with. If you really don't want him, go with Nelson Cruz, but I really just see him as Dunn-lite anyway.
At this point it's piling on, but I'll say Dunn and Cruz as well. Cruz has a nice combo of power and speed, and his power would legitametly play in any park in the event the Rangers were to trade him. Both can be a bit of a BA liability, but given it's a H2H points league that's not nearly as big a deal. Dunn is pretty close to a lock for roughly 40 HR's and useful run and RBI totals. His BA could fluctuate anywhere from .230 to .270 due to his high K rate, but I'd say .245-.255 seems about right.
As much as I wouldn't mind keeping Drew to solidify your MI positions, you gotta go with Dunn and Cruz only because they add too much to your counting stats.
Stephen Drew is one of the more hyped up players that has yet to produce numbers worthy of keeping. Go with Dunn without question and the young powerfull slugging Cruz.
