Think you can beat the cafe experts? (2010 Edition)

Postby rookies and cream » Fri Jan 01, 2010 10:39 pm

What's up fellas? I'm looking to recruit participants for the 2nd Annual Experts Challenge League. It's a 5 x 5 roto league in which 8 or 9 cafe experts with the Image icon will square off against 3 or 4 worthy participants that don't.

We'll probably keep the same league settings as last season. 5 x 5 roto, 27 man rosters (C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, CI, MI, 5 OF, U, 3 SP, 3 RP, 3 P, 5 BN), no max moves, and 1650 Max IP.

Please express your interest in this thread and let us know your qualifications. Trash talking is welcomed. ;-D

I'd love to be considered as a non-expert. I'm definitly interested.

-been posting here since 2007
-been playing fantasy baseball since 2004, 20 different teams in 20 different leagues on Yahoo, CBS and ESPN
-11 top 3 finishes
-I almost exclusively play roto
-I'm an extremely active player and have never "quit" on a team in any fantasy sport (I check on my teams every morning)
-I'm a serious follower of baseball year around
-I'm hung like a horse

I'm interested in this
my resume: Note I mostly do h2h but have played points and roto
I have been playing since 2004 in private leagues on Yahoo! CBS and ESPN.
One league i was in four year (points based) and I won the league every year.
Another league i have done for four years (h2h) i have finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th
My roto experience in a league for 3 years 15 teams- finished 1st, 5th, 11th
in 3 just for fun leagues i have finished 1st, 6th and 1st out of 18

I have been enrolled in keeper leagues, redraft and dynasty style. I have a vast knowledge of the minor league systems and love to draft and talk baseball.
Out of 15 leagues in Yahoo i have 8 first place finishes, and 3 top 5 finishes.

I'd like to be in this league. Normally I play in 2 money leagues plus a H2HWS league. I've won at least one money league for 4 years in a row. I would gladly drop the H2HWS league for this. Unlimited moves and 1650 max IP with deep rosters are my favourite settings.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!
