The best hockey tournament of the year just wrapped up the preliminary rounds with Canada beating the US in a shootout. Canada is a 5 time defending champion and something like 34-1 in its past 35 games (I may be a couple off on this).

Now Canada and Sweden have byes straight through to the semis. Canada plays the winner or Russia and Switzerland and Sweden plays the winner of USA and Finland.

Catch some of this if you can. The juniors play the most exciting hockey in the world and this tournament every year is like the March Madness tournment only a million times better.

This is a great tournament every year. Last nights game was another Can/USA classic.

It's more of the aspect that it's country vs. country and it's one of two major(?) team sports in America where the a good majority of the world is just as good as them or way better. The only time I enjoy watching hockey is when Team USA is playing.
