It's funny how Fantasy baseball Mags come out later than Fantasy Football Mags..Generally most solid fantasy Football Mags come out late July early Aug when the Reg season starts in early Sept. Solid fantasy Baseball Mags come out late Feb early March when the first game of the season start last weekend in March.

I disagree with this. I just went to Barnes & Noble yesterday and saw about 7 fantasy baseball mags .... this is about two months before the regular season even starts. The Sporting News one has been out since about the first week of January, and I also received my copy of the Baseball Forecaster on New Year's Eve. That's plenty early IMO.

I did find the USA Today Mag and picked it up yesterday. Good job for their 1st time. What got me to pick it up is all the projections are Baseball HQ (Shandler), who I still consider one of the best. So instead of putting down the $$ for HQ online, I spent the $$ on the mag

So the projections are identical to those one would get from the Shandler BaseballHQ website? I guess even if they were any changes BaseballHQ might make between submission to the USA Today Mag and before one's draft/auction wouldn't be realized.

a few years ago i used to buy something like 10 different magazines. i would read each one entirely and highlight information i wanted to go back to. now i think there are so many websites that cover the same type of information that some of the magazines become useless.
one of the ones i used to love was.. "year" MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL YEARBOOK & FANTASY GUIDE. i always liked that one because they had the 1st and 2nd half stats from the previous season.
i dont know if its just the area here where i live in southern Ontario but the last couple years ive had a hard time trying to find magazines. alot of the corner type stores have them more than bigger stores but each corner type store will only have 1 or 2 with another corner type store having another 1 or 2 different ones.

A nice bonus of signing up early for NFBC was you get (for free) all 4 of the fanball magazines. Was already signing up anyway so a nice package of free reading material? No problem!

Free fantasy player insurance was an extra bonus as well.
