Sorry, but there's really no point in playing if there's nothing at stake. My wife's Christmas party this year was a "casino night" and playing when all you got was tickets into drawings was pretty lame. You got 1 ticket for every $1K, and you started with $10K in chips. I finished at $65K in an hour and a half of Hold 'Em and was so bored out of my mind I just lost interest and turned my chips over to my wife.

We've done that in the past and it eventually sucks. It's ok if you can find a few 'serious' players that can at least act like they're playing for real, but there's always some guys who show up who either don't know how to play/bet or don't play often enough to know what they're doing. We usually get a side game going on for a few bucks.

You should have just bet your wife $100 that you would be the leading ticket holder by the end of the night....BOOM! you're playing for money.
