Manny Ramirez. Vladimir Guerrero. Alex Rodriguez. What Mets team have you been rooting for? :-S :-b

They were finally able to pull a trigger on Beltran and Pedro, but the number of guys the Mets ought to have signed (and were capable of) far outweighs those they have.

Down goes Bay's value. :-° I guess the Phils and Braves bats can add a few points to their BA when Bay is playing that huge left field now. :-B

I thought it was crucial that the Mets either sign Bay or Holliday so it's good to see that they got a deal done.

They didn't want Manny, weren't seriously willing to pay up for ARod over pitching and other needs, and Vlad wanting to stay away from the New York spotlight is probably a legitimate reason why he spurned us. Besides, we offered Vlad 3 years only and 5 if he stayed healthy, LA offered the full 5, who would you choose?

It's the same this year, they've hardly been serious about Holliday but have with Bay and they got him.

Damn!!! Being a big time Bay (Fan) Fellow Canadian. This is the one City I didn't want him going to, NEW YORK. :,-(

Thats two big hits to my Fantasy Boyz, (Salary Cap League) First Cliff Lee to the Mariners, and now Jay Bay to the Mets. Both will see there numbers take a turn for the worst. :-t

No Surprise since this was the only serious offer he got after the Red Sox pulled their offer and signed Lackey.

Back to the drawing board,

I think Cliff Lee will be just fine in Safeco.
