If you can land a younger version of Bay instead of Bay, make the trade. Otherwise, stand pat. I don't like the trade simply for the fact that Bay doesn't have many more good years in him left compared to the other players involved.

Please help?

I don't think we've seen Justin Upton's breakout season yet.

I love Longoria, but I think the important player for you in this deal is Upton, not Sandoval. If you're fortunate enough to have Upton, I'd really try to hold onto him. And you're right about Bay's age, I really try to avoid getting older in a keeper league.

I'd stand pat. As it is now I would take Longoria to Upton (those being the prime pieces for each side), but going forward I think that line will start to blur. Once you toss in a young Pablo Sandoval and an older Jason Bay who's prime skill is his power, which is a skill that could be hurt greatly depending on where he signs/how well he ages, I'd stand pat. Pablo's batting average is likely to come down as his BABIP was high even for a line drive slugger like himself, but I'd still say .310 is a reasonable guess with 25-30 HR power.

I have greatly valued everyone's help with this difficult trade for me. There are two new developments. I am now being offered Kendry Morales and Evan Longoria for Justin Upton and Pablo Sandoval. Also, it was just announced that Sandoval is moving to 1st base effective immediately. The Giants just signed Juan Uribe and Mark Derosa. Although I love Upton as much as everyone here and desperately want to keep him, I am super concerned with not having a 3rd Basemen after next season worth keeping. There are no promising prospects at 3rd base with the exception of Brett Wallace and Pedro Alvarez, both who surely won't stay at 3rd base. It would be nice having one of the best at 3rd base locked up. Is Kendry Morales enough to convince me that I should accept this trade? Especially with Sandoval now being moved to 1st. Thanks again.
