Pick 12 Keepers (yes, 12!) WHIR

Postby TheNatinals » Thu Dec 24, 2009 1:03 pm

This league is a standard 5x5 roto 12-team. We keep 12 players, plus 5 minor leaguers who are eligible (not sure what constitues eligibility, but it really doesn't matter with this team). This league has 9 pitcher slots and you can use any combo of starters/relievers. There are 4 outfielders, 2 utility players, an MI and a CI. My pitching is horrendous after Lincecum, but since we start so many pitchers, I'm not sure there will be much out there in the draft...

Please pick 12:

C- M.Montero
1B - Votto
2B - Utley
3B - M. Young
SS - Everth Cabrera
MI - Placido Polanco
CI - Jake Fox
OF - Hamilton
OF - Carlos Gonzalez
OF - Lind
OF - Justin Upton
UT- Michael Bourn
UT - Dye

P - Lincecum
P - Brett Anderson
P - Hamels
P - T. Hudson
P - Joba
P - Phil Hughes
P - Millwood
P - Ryan Franklin
P - Matt Capps

BN - Bengie Molina
BN - Travis Snyder
BN - Franklin Guttierez

BN - J Happ
BN - Mat Latos
BN - Derek Holland
BN - Daniel Hudson
BN - Smoltz

I wondering why Franklin is getting votes? He's crap imo.

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm undecided on the same players as everyone else.

- Montero - Somewhat unproven, but serious potential at a scarce position. If he slumps I'd be worried about him losing his job to Snider.
- Michael Bourn - SBs are tough to come by in this league so I think I need to keep him as he can single handedly keep me in the top 3 in that catagory
- Travis Snyder - Tons of potential but I already have a pretty good OF. Worth the gamble?
- Joba - Tons of potential here to, but his role is still slightly unclear and he hasn't quite come into his own yet
- Franklin and Capps - Both are questionable at best, but closers are a hot commidty in this league and it's tough going into the draft without at least one

Tough choices...

Snyder might be a better selection than Hamels or Franklin at this point.
