Fantasy Baseball Cafe Forums

Hey everyone, this will be the third year of this league...see also here. This league is dedicated to a couple of players looking for a challenge they normally don't get or the chance to prove their abilities.

This is a 14 team league that consists of 12 cafeholics(those with mugs) against 2 competitors who are looking to get into a legit league for once...maybe all you've gotten in are public leagues....or you just want to make a name for yourself against some of the cafe's best.

Anyway, further information are in the links above. I won't choose the 2 new participants for another month or so but that month will come quickly and I want to give everyone a chance to put their hat in the ring by giving ample time for everyone to see the thread.

I'm looking for our first "noob" to crack the top 3 but we haven't even had one crack the top 5 yet. ;-)

I'm throwing my hat in the ring for sure! I missed out on this one last year, but I'd love to be considered for the opportunity ;-D

Such a "noob"....you are a cafeholic now this year. You'll be playing for the good guys if you are in. Go to the appropriate thread for that opportunity! ;-)

Cafeholics need not apply here...this is for the 2 "noobs" that will be competing this year.

You just did it.

Just getting everyone a chance to respond here and I'll pick the two candidates in a month or so. The likely choices will be those that are fairly active here at the cafe but at the same time fairly new to the cafe too. Maybe someone who is controversial and wants to prove his/her views agains the cafe...I don't know...no real guideline for selection. Just post in this thread that you are interested and you'll be considered when that time comes.

So yeah, you did all you need to do, now go be active and voice your thoughts....if you are primarily a lurker you probably won't be selected.

I wouldn't mind making a run at it. Consider my hat officially tossed in. I don't need no stinking mug to take home a trophy...

My league with college friends has fizzled out with only a few of us still playing fantasy baseball. I've been pretty successful there, and would enjoy a chance at playing with the 'experts'.

I'm pretty new around here, but I can start obnoxiously dragging posts off topic for pages and pages about how I think I know everything if that'll help get me in....
