Seems like he doesn't even compare to the other sb-threats getting drafted within a dozen or so ADP spots... Crawford, Upton, Ellsbury are all head and shoulders above him IMO. Much more reliable and put up better stats elsewhere as well.
When you can find safer guys to pick up your steals for you many rounds later, like Bourn, Pierre, or Figgins (who all have similar averages and only slightly worse counting stats), it does seem like it would be insane to drop a 2nd round pick on him. Around round 4 I would consider it, but he'll be off the board well before that.
Then again, I've never had a problem with enough SB from a decent mix of other guys to stay near the middle of the pack and/or adding a guy like a Morgan/Davis/Andrus into my rotation when my power guys are going against unfavorable matchups.
Either way, I'm avoiding this guy like the plague.
