Wright, Kinsler or Tulo?...WHIR

Postby PeteDog13 » Mon Dec 21, 2009 1:18 am

I have Ian Kinsler and have two owners that are looking to trade for him.

One is offering David Wright and James Shields
and
One is offering Troy Tulowitzki

Do you make either trade in a keeper, or do you stand pat?

who are your ss & 3rd basemen now? does adding Shields bump someone off your team? there aren't alot of SS options out there and 2nd base is pretty deep, but I'm not sure I'd swap the 2 middle infielder. These 3 stars should be drafted very close to each other, this'll b a tuff call

I'd make the trade for Wright. The disappointing HR output was a turn-off, but he was also robbed of a couple of HR at Citi Field as well. There wasn't any drastic change in his peripherals, which makes it safe to say that we can expect the same supporting stats from him. I think he's good enough to bounce back for 20 HR. I'd still rather have him over Kinsler, who strayed away from his balanced plate approach and was practically dependent on the homerun ball.

SS- Elvis Andrus...Probably not keeping
3B -Gordon Beckham, I understand he is moving to 2b, so there will be dual eligibility there.

Pitchers I have are J.Vazquez, Peavy, Billingsley, Nolasco, and C.Zambrano

If I had to pick 10 keepers right now, it would probably be....

M.Cabrera

G.Beckham

J.Vazquez
Billingsley

I like the Wright/Shields combo.

I'd take both offers honestly. Go with Wright first though

Do you think that the injuries to Wrights supporting cast or the new ballpark was more of a factor in his offensive drop-off?

The Mets new ballpark scares me a little. Tulo obviously has Coors Field going for him.

Also do you think that either Wright or Tulo have peaked? I know that Tulo is a couple years younger than Wright.

Take Wright/Shields then don't bother keeping Beckham in my opinion and hold onto Andrus.
