I am doing something I have never done before using this MDP info. I am listing all SPs for the first 15 rounds as they are appearing in drafts. This way I can see where I may expect to draft a starting staff such as -
C.C (3rd round) Lester (J. Johnson (6th round) Wandy (9h round) Kazmir (13th round) and... Brett Anderson (14th/15th round)
Of course, this is for redrafts. Keeper leagues make thisgs a bit more difficult.
My Friendliness bar...recently shrunk from 11.3 to 10mm long!!

fyi - It will be much easier to utilize this strategy once I do the tiers. Not sure if it is the best strategy to draft 2 pitchers in the first 6 rounds though. You'll have a great staff but your hitting will likely suffer.

Looking at Cafe leagues, Anderson usually goes in the 10th or so.
Rocinante2: you know Rocinante2: its easy to dismiss the orioles as a bad team ofanrex: go on Rocinante2: i'm done Rocinante2: lmao
rook, that post was just a quickie to use as an example. I usually look at my first 10 picks and make sure I come out with 3 SP and a closer (usually that 10th rounder). Often taking bats with the first 5 picks. And Torp, I will check those mocks out.

Make a list of all the guys I want to draft. If I 'like' the player I move them up 1 round, if I really like a player I move them up 2 and if I really like them AND they are trending up, I'll move them up 3 rounds.
This is a general rule and it depends on where in the draft you are. Early, I would move them up less and latter in the draft I might move them up even more rounds.
Also, remember you are trying to draft guys that will be ranked higher next year, not this year. So if you really think a guy is going to be great then by all means move them up even further.
But you can not concentrate solely on your team and completely ignore MDP. Even if you think Cruz will have a line of 110/40/115/25/.305 and win the MVP, it doesn't mean you draft him with the first overall pick. You'd miss out on another great player when theres a 99% chance you could still get Cruz several rounds later.
