Sandoval and Wilson for Ellsbury and Melky?(WHIR)

Postby kidsilk » Tue Dec 08, 2009 7:31 pm

12 team dynasty league where we each took over the rosters of a National League Team and an American League Team and made cuts, etc. 5x5 roto style. Very active league with lots of trading and transactions.

I have been offered Jacoby Ellsbury and Melky Cabrera for my Pablo Sandoval and Brian Wilson. This would leave me a closer short but I would still have Nathan. Sandoval should break out and have a huge year but so should Ellsbury and I need his speed. I might want a SP in return if I do this deal instead of Melky. What do you guys think and should I ask for more or just stay put?

He said that if I don't want Melky I can chose between Hermida and Reimold. Any opinions out there?

I'd do it. You can slide Reynolds into the 3b spot, so you won't hurt there. You do need another top OF, and Ellsbury gives the sb's you also need.

I would also rather have Reimold over Cabrera.

I'm sure you can find saves in a 12 team league during the season if not in the off season.

Do it and take Reimold.

I would NOT have done it with Melky, I would do it with Reimold. I think Reimold has a sneaky good skill set. He draws a healthy number of walks, has good pop, and was surprisingly eficient on the base paths. Ellsbury and Reimold should really help your SB totals and fill out your OF.
