Now the offer is:

Drew, Victorino, Hamels for Morneau, Theriot and a prospect of mine. What do yo uguys think? Should I just keep Morneau or is this deal a solid one for me?

I agree that you could use another OF and you would be dealing from a position of strength out of 1b. But I think you can do better. If Morneau can stay healthy, which from what I've read, he shouldn't have any problem being healthy for spring training, I think he will put up as good of numbers as when he was younger (and he'll only be 28/29 next season anyway). I'd probably try and see if I could get an upgrade over Victorino; maybe Jason Werth?

And, who's the prospect?

He says Werth is unavailable and the prospect would be Thomas Neal probably.

Pass on that trade offer. Yes, your OF could use a boost but it looks like to me that this owner doesn't match up well with you in that respect. Morneau is quite consistent whereas the other pieces in this deal that you would getting aren't. Keep the proven power commodity.

I'd pass... but only barely. To be honest, I'd rather have Travis Snider in a dynasty league. He absolutely crushed the ball in the minors, and is so young. If you could turn Victorino into Snider I'd do a deal of Snider/Drew/Hamels for Morneau/Theriot/Neal (Neal had a nice year, but he's a year + away likely since he didn't even see AA yet this past year). I'm really expecting a bounce back from Hamels, and think that pairing him with Timmy would really help solidify your pitching.

Question for you... any particular reason for your team having such a high number of SF Giants and his roster being littered with a glut of Blue Jays?

B-Chad,

First, I am sure I could get him to give me Snider instead of Victorino. So, does anyone else out there think I should trade Morneau, Theriot, Neal for Snider, Drew, Hamels?

Second, we have so many same team players because the league is set up where we each took over the rosters of a National League team and an American League Team. We made cuts and trades, drafts, etc. And that is how we got the teams we have. Pretty cool I think. Anyway, thanks for your help.

I would take that deal. While Mourneu is a stud, we aren't talking Albert Pujols here. You're getting 3 very good players in return. You won't be left with a gaping hole at first base either. Do it.

Interesting. I suspected that would be your answer. Thanks for taking the time to respond. It seemed like it had to be more then a curious coincidence, or a couple of crazed homers :-b
