Who would you prefer:
1 year of Prince or 3 years of Votto?

Thanks for the replies.
I find it difficult to make these types of comparisons (multi-year to one year). I wish there was some magic formula to use.

I know how you feel. I am in a league such as yours and it is tough to decide based on contracts. But, I would definitely keep Votto here over Prince.

Why do you need a formula? 3 years of a very good underrated player, versus 1 year of a very good player who gets a edge in power, but it's not close to losing 2 years of Votto. Look how good Votto was in wOBA and EQA. Looks like a stud to me.

Keep in mind Votto was hurt for a period of time last season. He's definitely a player on the rise.
