Postby archie23 » Sat Dec 05, 2009 12:56 am

Would you trade Lincecum, C. Hart, and Iannetta who all only have 1 year left before they must be dropped for Quentin who has 2 years left, Brett Anderson who has 3 years left, and Alex Avila who has 3 years left. 5x5 rorto scoring.

I think you could do that well near midseason if you somehow fell out of the race.I'd hold out for more & not be too concerned about the expiring contracts

No. That's too little for Lincecum, even if I do like the players you're getting back.

Give yourself a chance to win first. Imagine if your real life team gave up now. Oh wait, I'm a Blue Jays fan. There are giving up on 2010 before Santa's trip 'round the world.

I think that fast dogs makes a good point. If you are out of the race at midseason, I would do this deal.

As it stands now, if you think that your team has a chance to win the league in 2010, then you obviously do not make the deal. If your team is in rebuilding mode, then I would look for a little bit better deal than this if you are going to do it before the season. If the guy you are dealing with wants to have Lincecum for the whole season, he needs to pay a premium, because as fast dogs said, at midseason the teams looking to upgrade to win now will all be looking to make a deal, and the market for Lincecum will be competitive.

Definitely agree with the rest. If you are out of it midseason then sure this makes sense. But, not in December. Look to win my man! Kepp Timmy as long as you can.
