Diamond Mind Keeper league Trade Question

We play in a league based off Diamond Mind baseball - full seasons for a team are simulated based on last years stats. You submit lineups based on your players and games are simmed, you draft, trade, sign FA's like you would in a normal dynasty keeper league.

I have a chance to acquire Ryan Zimmerman, but I would have to give up both Adam Lind and my 2nd Round #5 overall rookie pick to get him. My team is listed below, with the DMB league I'll have to make a real lineup using those players and the games will be simulated. Zimmerman would give me a strong long term 3B and allow me to trade off Mike Lowell (who is fairly expensive in the league). Given the fact that I have both Votto and Kendry Morales, Lind has to play OF (and his defense is atrocious). Lowell is only signed for one more year, I can't afford him beyond this year.

Would you rather have a long term 3B in Zimmerman, or Lind + 2nd Rounder? Keep in mind that defense does play a factor in the league. Both are signed cheap and are solid hitters, but Lind's defensive ratings are pretty pitiful. My other thought is to hold on to Lind and sign a FA defensive replacement for later in games.

Zimm's worth it. 3B is fairly shallow, the defensive component makes Zimm v. Lind seem like an unfair fight, and you improve your usable talent.

I do this, with the huge grain of salt that I'm nearly perfectly ignorant about the diamond mind set up.
