which pitcher to keep WHIR

Postby Guzman24 » Wed Dec 02, 2009 11:44 am

Really torn over which arm to keep as my last keeper.

JJohnson or Verlander

Johnson was more steady throughout the year. Verlander was more spectacular in stretches but also had more rough outings too. I'm going to deal the guy I don't keep for a draft pick. Verlander probably has more trade value.

Any thoughts

I would definitely go with Johnson. Depends on your other pitchers but Verlander's more unreliable

I would also go with Johnson for two reasons: He is coming into his own as a real ace and two Verlander does have more trade value.

please help

Can you offer up both for a pick & keep the 1 that nets the better offer rather than the other way around?

Yes that's definitely an option. Ive offered both around. Verlander is definitely generating more interest. "sexier" player i guess.

Sounds like a winner then. Keep JJ. Probably the best keeper as well so a win win for you.

I like Johnson more too. He came back from surgery stronger and faster than before and he's more consistent. Plus he plays in the NL. The fact that you can get more for Verlander only solidifies it.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=398237
