Mauer Rookie of the Year?

I'm gonna go on record as predicting Mauer for 14 HR's. No way he hits less than 10. He doesn't have that much power, but he doesn't have to worry about facing good pitchers.

I'll get you DK and your little dog too! haha

Is that career minor league stats you looking at? Admittedly, he fell with the Phillies 01-02 but last year? Over 100 games and 30 K's. That's on track to less than 60. And a switch hitter to boot!

Anyway, it's only one of many good 'rookies' coming out. I gotta put my money on one guy and I refuse to follow the crowd! I gotta be me!!

Enjoy!

BTW, I didn't mean to hijack the thread. My apologies.

Enjoy!

Hootie, you're on! Last year, I promised to eat my keyboard if Dunn hit 33 HR's. Was a close one. Wouldn't have even rememberred if some punk hadn't dredged up the thread last week. :-D

Mauer isn't worth ruining a keyboard with mayonnaisse (and I hate mayonnaise), but he's worth a lunch at the Cafe. However the hell one pays for said lunch.

Yeah, the minor stats are career-wise. 30 K's in 354 AB's are very nice though. Even though it's the minors.

MLB stats aren't promising, though: 41/8 K/BB.

He certainly has some potential, but he's already 27(8?). I wouldn't bet the house.

I'd also like to get in on that bet for lunch at the Cafe'. I don't see Mauer hitting 14 HR's.

They were talking about Estrada.

Mauer isn't going to hit 20 HR just because some idiot drafted him on his fantasy team and he 'feels' like he will hit 20.

10 HR's is an adequate projection. Predicting 20 is ignorance.
