I'm in the middle of a prospect draft. It is a very deep league and many of the top prospects have been selected. I've been searching for sleepers and came up with the following list:
SP: Zach Britton, Balt OF: Lance Lynn, STL SP: Alexander Colome, TAM OF: Jordan Danks, CHW RP: Craig Kimbrel, ATL SP: Brad Holt, NYM SP: Jay Jackson, CHC SS: Hak Ju Lee, CHC OF: Tim Wheeler, COL OF: Slade Heathcott, NYY SP: Zach Stewart, TOR C: WIlson Ramos, MIN
Out of this list who really stands out? How would you rank this list? Any help would be much appreciated!
SP: Zach Britton, Balt SP: Alexander Colome, TAM OF: Slade Heathcott, NYY SP: Jay Jackson, CHC SS: Hak Ju Lee, CHC C: WIlson Ramos, MIN OF: Jordan Danks, CHW RP: Craig Kimbrel, ATL SP: Brad Holt, NYM OF: Lance Lynn, STL OF: Tim Wheeler, COL SP: Zach Stewart, TOR
I like Britton a lot more than anybody on the list. Stewart's the only guy on the list I have no interest in. Lynn & Wheeler seem like AAAA types to me. Past Birtton and Colome I don't think there's much seperation. Heathcott than Lee have the most upside but are also a long way away from realizing their potential.
I like all these guys more than Britton. None of them have gotten a ton of attention and may be available: OF:Kyler Burke, CHN C:Max Stassi, OAK C:Will Myers, KC 2B/SS:Chase D'Arnaud, PIT 1B:Anthony Rizzo, BOS
SP: Brad Holt, NYM - Was a BA midseason top 50 guy OF: Slade Heathcott, NYY - scouted as having plus tools across the board, didnt show well in a brief stint this year SS: Hak Ju Lee, CHC - really far away but has lots of tools - voted best prospect in his league by BA SP: Jay Jackson, CHC - solid FB, needs more control, probably a future 3/4 C: WIlson Ramos, MIN - 20 hr power from catcher with good enough defensive skills to stick. could strike out alot OF: Tim Wheeler, COL - top of the lineup guy. 30+ sb potential, good contact skills RP: Craig Kimbrel, ATL - Possible future closer, needs better control SP: Zach Britton, Balt - Had a great season, although id like a little more K and little less BB, this was at a low level, not sure about his actual stuff OF: Jordan Danks, CHW - solid OF in a big time hitter's ballpark without any real blockage ahead of him SP: Zach Stewart, TOR - Good reliever but too high of BB rate in higher levels of minors, not a future closer SP: Alexander Colome, TAM - Good reliever but dont see him as a guy with closer stuff
I will say that my rankings do take into consideration future projection as much if not more than actual stats
