This came up last year I think, but I can't remember what the rule is about upping your own bid... E.g, if I've got $2 left to spend and one spot left to fill. I nominate the player I want for my final spot for $1. I don't want to take a chance that someone might outbid me @ $2, so can I up my own bid to $2 as soon as bidding opens?

If I remember correctly, you could not up your own bid...if someone outbid you, then you were left with putting the $2 down on someone else...
