Was considering going higher on them, but didn't want to spend that much on "bench" guys. I need some money to try and form some kind of pitching staff.

I can sort of tell how you guys felt about Strasburg, considering i got him for $4. Just curious, you guys think he'll do well this year?
He's been kick ass in the minors, but we all know how sometimes that doesn't equate to the majors. (at least Dusty Baker isn't touching this kid and turning him into crud, hehehe)

The thing with Strasburg is that if he isn't in the Yahoo database at the start of the season, you lose him and wasted $4. I'm assuming Yahoo will have him there because of the hype, but I wouldn't be willing to take the chance. 4$ is not a lot, but could be useful at the later stages.
I really don't know what to think of him though if he does spend a bunch of time in the majors. Pitchers some times come in and dominate early. He may tire later on, or start to get figured out as teams see him more.

Yeah, had not really thought of that. Well, if that be my first money losing mistake in my first auction then so be it. It's worth the risk on the kid.

For a few bucks, I think it's a decent gamble. He'll more than likely be in the database and you'll just have to wait and see if he can help you at the end of the season.
