Well I was still pondering an outrageous $28 bid on Cruz before this evening...only I got cold feet before making the bid on Cruz.
I'm glad you got the cold feet. I paid more than I wanted to but Cruz was someone I wanted all along. I love power and speed combo and as long as he can get 500 AB's, I don't see why he can't go .270/95/35/100/25.
I really wanted McCutcheon but knowing I was overpaying on Cruz, I had to fall back on Hunter, a move I'm not altogether displeased with.
Valverde at $9 was a nice buy as was Hawpe at $6 (considering I paid $19 for Ethier).
So I think now it's getting interesting... budgets running low, some of us still have $ to spend...
It'll be interesting to see how everyone goes about the rest of the draft, with almost all the elite options gone and working to fill voids... good luck to all... but more to me!
