The interesting thing is that Martin's decline might actually be the Dodger's fault. In the comments section of http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/the-alnl-gap-a-gm-disparity it's claimed that Martin has caught the second highest number of games over a three year period and as a result has faded in the second half of each of the last three years. The highest was Johnny Bench and during that time he suffered an offensive breakdown. Kinda like what a lot of teams seem to do with young pitchers - burn them out while under team control. I hate to see this kind of short-sighted stuff. This doesn't seem very Torre-like. Maybe with some downtime for Martin your $7 will be golden.
“We're looking for a really solid year out of Esteban. It doesn't have to be his best year as long as it's not his worst. Somewhere in the middle, we'll be happy.” (Billy Beane)
As a Martin owner in a dynasty league the last 2 years, it has been awful. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. In a 12 team league with only 1 catcher position I didn't even want to bid $2 for fear of getting stuck with him. I'd love for him to turn it around, but I don't know.

$2.00? Where do you buy your cheeseburgers.

I've been feeling a bit of angst all day after that last bid. You can have him at $17 if you want him.
That didn't take long...
If I had more money, I would have gone higher... I think he'll have a nice season, playing for a new contract for next year.
Well I was still pondering an outrageous $28 bid on Cruz before this evening, but decided it would handcuff me too much for the rest of the draft, sort of like your bid on Lee, which would have drained your coffers, only I got cold feet before making the bid on Cruz. Go ahead you can still make Lee your last bid over $1.
