This is an interesting statement. It appears that half of us are spending big money on starting pitching while the other half isn't (and with the relative shortage of remaining cash won't be able to). I found this auction very interesting because of some of the differences between cash outlays. Speed and relievers seem to be another couple of categories that we can't seem to make up our minds about. I came into the auction with a plan but then changed it up when I saw some of the bidding. I'm not so sure now that I should have done that. Maybe ayebatter is right - we'll just have to wait and see.
I see in some of the recent posts that there are some regrets over bids etc. Looking back I have to say I'm also not thrilled about some of the prices I paid. I'm curious to see whether I feel this way because of how the bidding trends went or simply because I screwed up.
