The projections I've seen don't look all that rosy i.e. pretty similar to last year or less. Of course, we'll find out soon and if I'm wrong Lebo can serve me a big dish of crow which I will gladly eat.

I'm not digging the $38. I was only going to go 35 on him, but have obviously altered what I am doing. I don't think it is a horrible buy, but it obviously isn't a great deal either.

I feel your pain. I was in the same frame of mind with Longoria. After 24 hours of hemming and hawing and annoying my wife she finally said "What's the big deal? It's not even real money!" Faced with that logic and her utter lack of appreciation for what we're trying to "accomplish" here how could I not do it?
I'm sure Kemp fits into your master plan just like Longoria fits into mine (such as it is).

Funny thing was I was only going to go up to $35 on him as well, but then didn't want to miss out by $1 or so...ultimately had to back off. $39 wasn't in the cards for me.
