“We're looking for a really solid year out of Esteban. It doesn't have to be his best year as long as it's not his worst. Somewhere in the middle, we'll be happy.” (Billy Beane)
I'll update your rosters this sheet as players are won.
At the bottom of your roster, it will show you how much money you have left to spend and your max bid (you always have to have $1 left per empty roster slot), so be sure to keep an eye on this toward the end of the draft.

In advance, a big thank you to Bwanna for setting up the spreadsheet and doing the extra work to keep the auction results organized.
Are we also going to keep a position-by-position list of guys who have already been won like we did last year?

I was thinking that the spreadsheet would do the job (i.e., read across, find tool, etc). What do you think?
So how am I to know how to post a player's eligibility?
I posted Alexei who is eligible for 2B/SS/CF... If I win him, even thought you changed it to only say SS, could I be able to, in all actuality, use him as a 2B or a CF instead for purposes of filling out a roster?

Yes, I switched him to SS only because that's all he'll be eligible for to start the season (he played 148 games last season, all at SS). Once the season starts, we go by Yahoo eligibility, and you can use players as you wish of course, according to Yahoo designation.
FYI, a quick way (that I use) to see how many games played at positions for the past season:
1. Google search "Alexei Ramirez ESPN" to take you to the ESPN profile page for that player. 2. Scroll down it will list the games played by position for that player. When in doubt, I suggest you check up on your guys!
Interesting, of the 10 players nominated so far, only about 4 of them are probably first rounders in a snake draft. Looks like we've got some strategists in our midst.

As for the stickied threads, we're working on it.
I think the spreadsheet works fine, I just asked about the list since we did it last year.
Come to think of it, I only checked it out early on as I created my own rankings spreadsheet and just highlighted guys as they were won at auction.

You can also use Yahoo and go to the player's career stats and scroll to the bottom of the page. It will show all the games played, started etc for the year. From there you can determine his eligibility based on Yahoo standard rules. I don't think it should be up to the mods to have to edit players eligibility; we all should be able to do our own homework before nominating.
