Apparently they asked Pedroia if he was willing to switch and he was OK with it. What I read said that Scutaro has also spent some early time at 2B so Pedroia could still move with Scutaro at second.

I think $19 was the right number, nice pick up.
Yeah, definitely. He wont hit amazing power numbers but he is very solid, especially in a not-so-solid position like 2B. Besides Utley and Kinsler (who is yet to be nominated) theres a huge drop off, IMHO.
