It can't possibly backfire. I'm about filled out my roster. I'll take another closer or two.

And by the way, I won't monopolize at all the save category. Even if I go top heavy with saves and you feel like you can do well with only getting 60 saves, a trade with me for another closer could single handedly grab you 5 places in roto points.

That said, how many MLB teams are there? How many closers do I have? A very small percent. There's no guarantee that I'll even rank top 3 in the Save category by year's end.

Question. Can owners discuss among themselves anything concerning bidding on a player or would that be considered collusion? Are there any parameters as far as what is considered acceptable and what isn't?

As long as you are talking about bidding up John's players, I'm all for it.

In my judgement, it's more than okay in public (league chatter) to openly discuss how bidding is going, who's bidding on whom for what money, etc.

If you're talking about privately messaging each other in a "Psst, if you bid a dollar more on this guy so this other owner can't afford him, I won't bid such an amount on this other guy...." ... I'd say that's collusion or collusion-like.
