On another note I would like to ask a favour of you guys that live in the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. A buddy and I are making a trip to Chicago (and very likely Milwaukee) in May to watch some ball. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions/recommendations on places to eat, drink(beer), and pick up some baseball souvenirs near Wrigley, Cellular and Miller Park. We may also have some very limited time for non-baseball sightseeing. Thanks! :-)

If you decide to make the trip to Milwaukee I'd be glad to.

I'm not from there but my brother and I did the same trip in 2010. Awesome experience in both cities. Didn't go to the south side, but lots of souvenirs places outside Wrigley. Not sure if any is better than the rest, they all look and sound similar. Went bar hopping a little as well after the game, packed in every bar around. Harry Caray's was cool, they were introducing The Hawk to the HOF. Had a deep dish pizza at Giordano's, just outside of the Willis Tower. Holy cheezy fullness!

Milwaukee was cool as well. Their park is pretty awesome. Having never experienced tailgating before, I was impressed to see thousands out partying hours before game time. Did the tour of the Miller brewery as well which was OK, free beer at the end at least.

All that to say is it is well worth it and we are planning another baseball voyage together sometime soon. Maybe hit up Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

I appreciate any info I can get. As the trip gets closer I'll repost. As of now we're looking at:
May 15 - Tigers at Cellular
May 16,17 - Phillies at Wrigley
May 18, 19, 20 - White Sox at Wrigley
May 18, 19, 20 - Twins at Miller Park.
Thanks again! ;-D

One more quick question - at what point should I start to worry about availability of decent tickets?

Early for the Milwaukee game. Lot of Twins fans do road trips.

Let me know when you decide where you'll staying in Milwaukee and what method of transportation you'll be using and I can give you some nightlife suggestions.

Season starts (for bidding) Thursday at noon.

That means you can start nominating Wednesday at noon.
