I'm going to nominate George Bush.
At 5:00PM or so on Sunday (within the 12noon Sunday and 12noon Monday nominating window), I create a thread (and of course start the bidding at $1).
On Monday at 12pmNoon, the bidding starts. Someone bids $2, then another bids him right up to $10. At 9am Tuesday morning, someone bids him up to $22. No one bids after that.
So, at 9am Wednesday morning (exactly 24 hours after the last bid), the auction on Bush is closed and he his awarded to the guy that bid $22.
Important: If someone had bid him up to $23 at 8:55 am, the bidding would be extended a whole other 24 hours. There is no fixed bidding end date, it is dynamic to each player auctioned and the last bid on record.
