9th pick in draft

Postby chris8 » Fri Mar 19, 2004 9:50 am

Hi folks. Picking 9th in 12-team H-2-H, 5x5 league. First timer.

I really want to pick a strong batter in the first round, but obviously the top few (A-Rod, Pujols, Helton, Beltran, Vlad, Soriano) will be gone by my pick.

Who would be best of those I am likely to have available? Manny? Nomar? Or should I go for a top pitcher instead?

All advice gratefully received! Thanks!

OK thanks for the suggestions. Draft's about to start, so I'll find out who's available at my pick :-?

who did you get? I'm not a fan of taking Pitchers that early. If you like Boston, try to get Manny 9th, Nomar 16th. If they're not avail, I agree that Maggs and Delgado are good pics. I'm also hot on Vernon Wells this year, but that could be early for him

I'd go for Washburn, potential to get a lot of wins.

Agreed. Go with Washburn. He will get plenty of run support.
Fantasy Baseball is GOOD for the game. Everyday is exciting; it makes following baseball a blast!
