Southwest was forced to apologize by the stupid whiney baby media after kicking a Mother who couldn't control her screaming brat off of an airplane.
Now they have to give her a 300 dollar voucher and the mother wants money for extra diapers or something. Maybe it's just me cause I hate flying but Screaming babies are the worst thing on a plane outside of screaming adults.
I think we would all come up with varying degrees of tolerance when it comes to putting up with a screaming child. In this instance, and when it would apply in any other potentially disruptive situation, I think it is on the flight attendants and pilots to determine if the distraction is tolerable or if it is excessive. If it's true that the baby screaming was preventing to the passengers from hearing the preflight instructions, than I think their actions are justified and I'm disappointed that these people were punished for making a decision based on their experience and professional judgment. It's getting to the point where people are going to begin hesitating to make important decisions for fear of losing their jobs or being reprimanded.
The crew bounced Root and her son Adam off the San Jose-bound flight because passengers could not hear preflight safety announcements.
Makes sense to me.
not that i disagree with what happened, and i guess i've flown more than most people...but is there really anything more to say than "put on your seatbelt and dont get up until we tell you to"

In this case they should have told the lady to have a seat and use her b00bs to quiet the poor child.
