Trade Billy Butler for this pck.?

Postby BeSquare » Sun Nov 01, 2009 11:59 pm

20 team 5X5 keeper league, been offered Kevin Kouzmanoff, Martin Prado, Josh Willingham, Chris Narveson, and Lonnie Chisenhall for Billy Butler. Like Kouz, Prado, and Josh, and think Chis is a top prospect, but know Butler is starting to really produce. Would you make this deal??? :-*

I would not trade Bulter for any of those guys or the whole lot. Butler is a good hitter, it's just a matter of time before the power comes.

who would those guys replace on your starting roster? in a 20 teamer, thats not a bad haul if you get upgrades & prospects too. smaller leagues its easier to dismiss 3-1 & 4-1 trades when you give up the best player. In larger 1's a package is so much more inviting

I would definitely hold on to Butler. His comparisons to Edgar Martinez are looking pretty accurate right now, and since he's only what, 23 (?), the sky is the limit.

Don't trade Butler.

In a league that deep, I'm patient for a guy with Butler's talent. I'm not seeing a crucial guy there.

trading a guy who's improving with a lot of talent for a bunch of low level players is not a good move.
