You actually got your hopes up? I didn't break a sweat, the Yanks been doing this all season. GO Sucky Yankees

What are you talking about? The Phillies should have swept the series already quote] The Phillies aren't even close to as good as the Yankees. That's why they are losing 3-1. Deal with it.
not sure if they should've started lee 3 times in the series, but it does make you wonder. but lee with a complete game in game 1 hurt his chances to come back on short rest. i was thinking happ would've been a better choice than hamels and blanton. happ performed well all season, i thought he deserved a start in the WS. kinda reminds me of dodgers treatment of billingsley (although bills was pretty horrible 2nd half).

I can't believe there hasn't been more criticism based on this point. IT'S THE WORLD SERIES for crying out loud. Love these quotes:
Cliff Lee wrote:“My job is to pitch when Charlie wants me to pitch,” Lee said, “and that’s what I’m going to do, and I’m going to make the best of those situations. I’m not going to try to second-guess or anything like that. I would have been happy either way.”
and then:
Jorge Posada wrote:“The reason why we’re in this position is because he really wants the ball. He asks for the ball, and he got it, and he pitched a hell of a ballgame.
“He wants to win. That tells you where his heart is. He wants to win.”
