Security Tool!!!

Ugh, it was around 3am, and I heard my computer randomly restart. When I woke up this morning, I had this thing on my desktop called security tool. Apparently it's a rogue "antivirus" program that jacks up my computer and tells me I'm getting hacked and that I should buy their software.

I can't even get into task manager to kill the process or the control panel to delete the program (which wasn't there anyway when I booted in safe mode). Does anyone have any experience with getting rid of this crap? I went online, and there's a bunch of stuff about getting rid of it, but it's not working.

Any help would be appreciated...

Sounds like you have ransomware. MBAM should work, but chances are you will have to boot into safe mode in order to run it.
