2010 Deep Dynasty Team - Help?

This league is non-fantasy, to a degree. It is used by simulating games based off of projected stats using Diamond Mind Baseball Software and projections provided by baseballthinkfactory.com

There are 30 teams, each with 50-man max rosters, you must have 25 active players and you can have up to 25 reserve players. My team should have around 25-30 million dollars to spend in free agency, and there is a winter amateur draft (1 round) and a Rule V draft (2 rounds) where I can still help to rebuild. Players on my reserve roster have team control for up to 6 years with an option to extend their contracts during their 4th and 5th years, then they are free agents (similar to real life).

If you were in my shoes, what do you attack in free agency? Where do you draft in the winter and Rule V drafts? Does Avila, McCutchen, Blanks, or Boone Logan deserve to play on the active roster, or do I delay their free agency by keeping them on the reserve roster?

Who are your FA options, and what is the process for signing them?

I don't know a lot about the mechanics of your game, but I think the obvious point is your infield is awful, and that's where you should target your FA money if there is good talent available.

And I'd keep McCutcheon reserved. CF is one of the positions where you have a solid option and this team will not contend next year so why use up a year of control?

Thanks for the help on mine. Sorry it has taken this long to get back with you as I've been busy with work.

Anyway, I don't know how your FA's look in this league of yours, but that infield is certainly something to work on this off season. You're OF and pitchers are good I think. But as the above poster mentions, why activate young talent when you're not going to contend this up coming season?
