I need help with my keepers for next year

Postby HellWithManuel » Wed Oct 28, 2009 7:22 am

We can only keep 3 hitters and 3 pitchers.

Rotiserie standard stats. HR, R, AVG, RBI, SB..... W, K, ERA, WHIP, Saves

HittersL PUjols, Reyes, Votto, Holliday, Ichiro,

Pitchers: Verlander, Kazmir, Grienke, Broxton

Starting Rosters: C,1,2,3,ss,3 OF, UTL

I'm leaning towards: PUjols, Ryes, Votto, Greinke, Verlander, Broxton

What do you guys think?

No Brainers - Pujols, Greinke, Verlander

I generally don't keep RP but Broxton is a better bet than Kazmir and you can easily get Kazmir back if you want him later in the draft. As for the hitters I would try and wait to see what happens with Holliday. He really showed what he is capable of in St. Louis and I think a better bet than Votto especially since you already have Pujols. I would be also worried about Reyes and so much of his value is in SB but I think you have to take that risk as he is worth gambling on. So I would go

Reyes, Broxton and Holliday.

;-D I agree but it's dependant on where Holliday signs. But I don't think he'll make the same mistake twice and he'll probably stay in St.Loius or chase the money to either NY team so I think you'll be ok. Just to complicate things though, I like Votto to have a breakout, on the verge of top 5 1B year next year.

Yeah, I'd go with this. I don't see Holliday going to a shock destination like Oakland again while Broxton is a better keeper over Kazmir, who can't seem to throw with the same velocity or with the same confidence in his slider as he did a few years back.
