I'm in a rebuilding mode in my 14-team, contract league with 5 minor league spots. Each filled spot takes away a draft pick in 2010, so I can't just go loading up on prospects. I need to focus on one or two guys that are more likely to produce at the MLB level. My best bet would be any player that won't contribute in 2010, because I have a healthy list of good players in expensive contracts that I can sell to teams looking to win in 2010.
My question to you: Which of these players* is most likely to be a solid contributor on Opening Day, 2011? Please focus on OPS! Speedy guys only have value in my league if they have a very high success rate.
Apologies for some of the abbreviated names. Our league's system has some funky character limits.
* - This list represents every player assigned to a ML contract in my league now. I have removed a few players that would almost certainly be unobtainable.
Except for the youngest guys (Kelly, Lyles, Ynoa, etc). Most should be contributing by Opening Day 2011 if they don't have any setbacks. Obviously, many will have setbacks.
Who did you remove that's unobtainable if you left guys like Heyward, Alvarez, Montero, Jennings, Santana & Posey?

Guys like Colby Rasmus that he has a super hard-on for, but can't dream of having enough to trade for.
Heyward, Alvarez, Smoak, Posey, Jennings and Santana all fit the bill. Catchers usually take a little longer to find their offense at the highest level.

Taking into consideration OPS, I like G. Beckham, LaPorta, Montero and Snider as well as those mentioned.
Some good pitching also. Matsuz, Porcello, Hudson, Holland, Davis and Arrieta.
All in all, there are a ton of good options. Just depends on what you would have to give up to get them.
I like Dominic Brown more than half of the guys mentioned. Jennings, Heyward, Montero and Brown are my favorites (quick glance). Posey, CSantana, the large group of 1B/CI prospects and a handful of pitchers like Martin Perez or hector Rondon (he'll be higher on lists this year than many expect) come in 2nd.
Your question is also a little misleading since you say that you're not looking for guys that will contribute right away but list other guys that I like in Beckham, Matusz, Holland, etc...
