Am I right in thinking here the question has been boiled down to Markakis v. Wainwright?

Pretty easy choice for me. Markakis is still only 25 years old, and has proven to be a 300 hitter with lots of doubles. I would take the chance that one day those doubles start turning into a few more homers at his age.

and here's the answer, not as easy a choice for me but I'll usually lean toward the hitter over the pitcher and the main reason is how fragile pitchers are, heck they get hurt playing guitar hero.
