I need to keep 7 for next year - Yahoo H2H Keeper - which i won this year btw.... Which 7 should I keep from this list?
Sandoval (Iassume only 3B/1B next year and not catcher) 1B Morneau, LaRoche, Pena 2B/3B Figgins, McGehee Kinsler 2B Rollins SS OF: Pence, Braun, McLouth, Granderson, Choo SP: Greinke,Wainwright,Wandy Rodriguez,Volquez,Blanton and a bunch of RP's
My original thought is to keep: Morneau, Sandoval, Kinsler, Rollins, Braun, Greinke and Wainwright
I would try to trade my other OF's and Wandy for draft picks? I think i could keep Wandy over Wainwright and trade him instead......
same 7 as everyone else but if you can deal Greinke for a stud hitter, I'd do it. I just don't trust he'll be consistent and I see a Cliff Lee like comeback... he'll be good but not super-stud next year.
Sell high and get pujols or hanram if someone is that dumb.
Everyone's got the same top 6. It's 7 that changes: Sandoval or Granderson who changes.
How's this though? Why not Choo? Sandoval's value goes down a fair bit out of C, and even though he's always had high BABIP figures, he's more a well rounded hitter than not, and some slippage at AVG would hurt. Choo's got to be up there with him with his 20/20 season, and Choo doesn't have Granderson's crud numbers v. lefties.
If you want, you could try bundling off Wandy, Sandy, and Granderson for pick upgrades. The bonus of keeping Choo over Sandy is that I'd bet most would think you're downgrading, but you are likely getting the better player while freeing up the one with more name value for trade.
Yes. I think you should still keep Grandy on the potential that he can level out his average with his power total (kept swinging for the fences as far as I can tell) while posting a respectable SB count. The rest are no-brainers.
