Tulo for McLouth

Postby prguy1979 » Sun Oct 18, 2009 8:01 pm

Should i give up Nate McLouth who will be $5 next season for Tulo who will be $9 in my auction keeper league with a 100 total budget?

My keepers thus far are:
Aaron Hill($4.6), Mark DeRosa(4.10), Nate McLouth(5.0), Russell Bryant(2.10), Jayson Werth(4.20), Tim Lincecum(6.10), Jonathan O Sanchez(4.70) and Garrett Jones(2.20)...I can keep up to 11 players

I would take Tulo over McLouth. $9 seems like a decent price for Tulo. I don't know if the steals are for real or not from this year, but he should still put up good enough stats in the other cats to make up your $9.

I am a fan of Tulos. I think McLouth is overrated. I would take it quick.

I'd take it and drop DeRosa; not sure Sanchez is worth that price either. thats got to be pretty close to what he goes for again, give or take a buck

Why drop DeRosa...he is eligable all over the place and he is in St Louis.....runs will be plentiful for him....im just not understanding why everyone is telling me to drop him...I have to be missing something becuase i thought he was a sure keeper...tell me...please?

ALSO......I do have a deal I might be able to make that can brng me Howard at 10.10 or Zimmerman at 11.50 + James Shields at 6.10 for Werth or Hill, plus DeRosa and maybe 1 more piece....we just spoke about it but we could not make it work...he wants both Hill and Werth but im not willing to give up both and im leaning towards making Hill untradable for his great value....what do you think?

He'll be 35 next year, the average took quite a hit this year; once the injuries start piling up they tend not to quit for the mid-30's guys. If you have Tulo @ SS & Hill @ 2nd, he's not as useful to you at the corners or in the OF. I just think we've seen the best of DeRosa, he could still be worth that price but I think he could also disappoint. Once guys hit a certain age I look for reasons NOT to get or hold them, that time could be now for DeRosa
Hill would be pretty much untradeable at that price for me too

Go get Tulo QUICK. You can probably get a 20/20 OF in the draft (but a 25/25 SS?) there are how many of those in the game today? And the few others that are out there that will cost WAY WAY more than McClouth and be a drain on your budget. I have Tulo ranked as the 2nd best fantasy SS for 2010 behind just Hanley.

That trade is a steal for you. Go for it.

Tulo has proven himself. He had a good rookie year nad this year was good. He's more than proven himself.

I hope you can get Howard or Zimm that would be great for you. I think Zimm would be better b/c you should be able to net a power hitting 1b in the draft.

You don't have much.

Derosa/Werth combo
Hill straight up

You don't have a lot to work with. What else you got? Have you already declared your keepers?
