Are either Matusz or Kershaw keepers?

Postby Bozo » Wed Oct 14, 2009 4:55 pm

One at a time. In an AL only keeper 4 x 4 league I can keep Matusz for $20 ($250 cap). Will he be worth it or should i throw him back in and see what he goes for on draft day?
In my other NL only keeper, once again 4 x 4, I have Kershaw for $26. I'm kind of leaning towards keeping him after the season he had. What do you think about him?

Starting pitchers have less value in 4x4 than in 5x5. I wouldn't keep either at those salaries.

No chance I would keep Matusz. With K's not counting, I wouldn't keep Kershaw either at $26.

I would not keep either of them but thats just me. I would try to trade Kershaw I garantee they will be atleast 1 person in your league that will keep him and is valueing him very high.

Kershaw is the only one worth keeping, but like Matusz, he is too pricey. If K's don't count, that greatly diminishes Kershaw's value.

Matusz certainly has all the potential in the world but at that price only a couple of pitchers are worth considering. Throw out Ks and that hurts even top end pitchers.

No way.

Let them go back in the draft. You could possibly get them at a cheaper price or get someone else with similar value but without the name for a cheaper price.
