Going into the 4th year of a 10 team 5x5 H2H Team that starts 4 OF and an IF spot.
Relevant Players: Ryan Braun Chase Utley Tim Lincecum Matt Kemp Evan Longoria Jose Reyes Chris Carpenter
Braun, Utley and Lincecum are basically locks, and I'm leaning towards Longoria and Kemp for my last two, but I'm having a hard time letting Reyes go (off-season keeper trades aren't allowed). I'm not really considering Carpenter, but I'll include him anyways.
The next best SS's other than Reyes that likely won't be kept are: Bartlett/Zobrist/Furcal/Alexei and Beckham if he keeps the eligibility. The next best 3B's that will likely be unkept are: Figgins/Sandoval/Chipper/Aramis/Young/Beckham. At OF:Lind/Markakis/Cruz/Werth probably won't be kept and SP: Josh Johnson/Vazquez/Peavy/Beckett/Cain won't be kept
kemp should also be way up there with the no brainers....ur top 4 are nasty, so i feeel u can take the risk of keeping reyes, shortstop is so shallow...and i htink hell bounce back

You would keep Reyes and his upcoming surgery over Longoria?

I would keep Reyes over Longoria. Reyes will be a freak if he recovers fully from surgery and I think Longoria is somewhat overrated.
Actually, Reyes' health will still remain iffy heading into 2010 and even though it's most likely he'll return, I wouldn't be so quick to bank on him next year, fresh off a buildup of calf and hamstring issues.
As for Longoria, I think he produced to expectation in '09. Sure, it's disappointing after a torching start with the pace he was on, but he still justified his early 2nd round value.
