Help with Keeping Pitchers WHIR!!

Postby jonboy418 » Sat Oct 10, 2009 9:29 pm

I need to keep two of these pitchers:
10 team - 8 CAT - extra cats are Losses, Innings PItched, K/9

Cole Hamels
Josh Johnson
Clayton Kershaw
Jorge De La Rosa
Wandy Rodriguez
Jonathan Sanchez

I'm leaning towards Johnson and Kershaw. I kept Cole last seaosn and he just burned me too much this past season. I fully expect Kershaw to turn a major corner next year and become a top 10 pitcher.

Thanks for the help!

If I had to pick 1 to have the best '10 it would be Hamels, but I really can't blame you going with the other 2 either.Hamels just got off to such a miserable injury-plauged start to the season; he never seemed to get in a groove all year.Even late in the season he's been way too hittable, I don't have any real answers but it wouldn't surprise me to see him in the top 5 SP again next season. Tuff to turn your back on the guys who put up the best #'s this year, I just think Hamels rebounds in a big way next season

Johnson and Kershaw, but I do expect a much improved Hamels in 10 then we saw in 09.

I'd keep Kershaw for sure while I'd give the nod to Josh Johnson over Hamels, but it's close. I think Hamels will have a better 2010 if he can reverse the bad luck he had in '09.

Kershaw's W-L record will improve next year, though with extra weight on winning pitchers I think that hamels should be kept. I would go with:

Cole Hamels
Clayton Kershaw
