This team finished in second place during the regular season and just won the league championship in this Cafe league. I have now started thinking about offseason moves. What moves and trades should I pursue during the offseason in order to make this team stronger next year?
10 team Yahoo H2H Dynasty League with 6x6 scoring(H,R,HR,RBI,SB,AVE and W, SV, Ks, Holds, ERA, WHIP). Here is my roster with starting positions and alternative eligable positions. that's an impressive team. It would be hard to improve it...you have excellent hitters with high averages, excellent pitching w/ lester, billingsley, hamels, beckett, and vazquez, and have solid closers. I'm a little curious...how long have you been managing this team? It looks like you've hit a few home runs on FA pickups...
IfI were in your shoes and was going to try to improve that squad I would look to move 1 of your 2B. You have 3 of the best. I would imagine that there are 2 or 3 teams that are sick of rolling out some shlub at 2B and would jump at the chance to get either Kinsler, Pedroia, or Hill on their team. I would look to get a stud OF in return. Manny is solid for next year, but is definitely on the downslope of his career. Davis offers good speed, but not much else, same for Span. Your OF is your weak spot. Maybe try to trade Hill for a guy like Ellsbury or Kinsler for Kemp. i think Kinsler will be considered a late 1st early 2nd rounder next year, and Kemp will be either the #1,2 or 3 OF off the board (at least he should be...definitely top 10) That may be something to pursue...

I disagree to me I would trade Kinsler and like kasmir for CC- he gets lots of wins pllaying in NYY. He gets K's too. If you can't get CC I'd go for Halladay. He is going to go to a top pffensive team next yr or this yr. maybe he even goes to the NL. That would be perfect for him. He either gets tons of wins if he goes to a good AL offense or he goes to the NL and just destroys. Your hitters are good enough for now.

I've had this team for a couple of years and yes, I AM a FA/waiver wire fool.
IMO, you need a better CF. I would look to trade one of your 2bman for Grady Sizemore if you could. That would most likely take Kinsler but I think that would be worth it where you have Pedroia and Hill.
