Okay I'm in a 14 team keeper league and next year we are going with an auction rather than a draft. We start with $260 for 25 players. Each player we keep will cost us whatever the CBS SPORTSLINE value for that player is. So my question is about strategy, I have 8 players that are going to be pretty expensive and if I keep all 8 of them it will cost me between $180 - $220 for just those 8.
I guess my question is do I keep my expensive guys and try to find as much value as I can in the auction or do I let some of them go and go into the draft with more money but lesser keepers?

Personally I don't see what the point of having keepers is if you have to pay for their "market value" anyway. Might as well go into the draft with all of your dollars available and find deals there. There's a chance a few of your players might be undervalued by CBS's ranking in which case you might want to hold onto them but otherwise I think you should just keep your options open.
Note that CBS's auction values might not perfectly match your leagues' since there are different league sizes, etc. so there might be some big inefficiencies to exploit but it really would depend on your leagues' settings/size.
