I just watched the announcement live that Rio De Janeiro will host the 2016 summer games, beating out Madrid in the final voting. Tokyo and Chicago were eliminated in the previous round, Chicago being the first eliminated.

I am quite happy my hometown didn't win. Maybe I should go buy a nice TV to watch to 2016 olympics on with the dollars I'm no longer going to have to fork over in corruption and boondoggle taxes.
