As always, I'm limited in what I can say or promise. But I can say the following:
- For basketball and hockey this season, we changed the way our playoff tiebreakers work. They now use h2h record during the regular season (i.e. the record of the two teams against each other), followed by playoff seeding. Which still isn't as nice as if it were fully configurable, but seems vastly more fair than the current system.
- When we make a change in any of the full draft and trade games, as long as it makes sense to do so we try to incorporate it into all 4 full games, time allowing. That doesn't always happen; I was bummed that FAAB didn't make the cut for this year's hockey and basketball games, for example. But as a general rule, it usually does. So while I can't promise anything, there is a decent chance that playoff tiebreakers might be at least improved for next season. Did I mention I can't promise anything?
