Not like this season was anything to get excited about. At least now you can comfortably drop him and hope for another guy to pan out.

He was 19 in A ball, where most players are older than that. Numbers are irrelevant for a 19 year old in A ball with his skill set.

Angel Villalona, who received a club-record $2.1 million bonus when he was signed by the Giants in 2006, wore a bulletproof vest Monday to his hearing at a court in the city of La Romana. He pleaded innocent to the murder charge.

The 19-year-old Villalona could face up to 20 years in prison if found guilty in the Saturday night shooting death of Mario Felix de Jesus Velete.

Judge Aranibal Manzano Zapata ordered Villalona jailed for two months while authorities prepare their case in the Dominican Republic. Villalona turned himself in 12 hours after the shooting at a La Romana bar.

supposedly he was only in the DR for like a week and was supposed to have reported to instructional fall league already. how hard is it to stay out of trouble for a freaking week before coming back to the US.

very good article about the whole situation, pretty sad. i really hope he's innocent as he seems to have done a lot of good in his old community.
